We will experience Japan‘s fascinating blend of ancient traditions and modern culture as we circumnavigate Japan‘s main island, Honshu, while enjoying bridge lessons and sessions on board the luxury Seabourn Quest.

Our cruise takes us to historic villages, ancient temples and serene gardens as the cherry, maple, persimmon and ginkgo trees burst into spectacular autumn colours. Some of the many sights include the star fortress at Hakodate on Japan’s northern Hokkaido Island, the hot springs and mountain scenery in Akita, the Kehi Shrine and torii gate at Tsuruga, the six-storey black Matsue samurai castle at Sakaiminato, the stunning Ritsurin Koen garden dating from the Edo period in Takamatsu and Kongobuji Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site in Wakayama.

You may also choose to extend your holiday with a pre-cruise hotel and tour package in Tokyo or a post-cruise hotel and tour package in Kyoto.
